Saves and Sends Now Count on LinkedIn
LinkedIn has updated its analytics dashboard by adding two new data points under the Engagement Metrics section: Save count and Send count. These signals go beyond likes, comments, and shares, helping creators and brands see the value of their posts in a more complete way.
What’s new?
Until now, engagement insights on LinkedIn mainly reflected public actions. With this update, two private but highly meaningful interactions are now visible:
- Saves – When someone bookmarks your content to revisit later.
- Sends – When your post is shared privately through LinkedIn messages.
Why it matters
Not every impactful interaction happens in public. Many users prefer to keep a post for personal reference or share it directly with a colleague rather than repost it. By surfacing these private signals, LinkedIn gives marketers a better sense of how content spreads and resonates behind the scenes.
What this means for marketers
- Identify which posts drive long-term value through high save counts.
- Create resource-driven content (how-tos, templates, reports) that professionals want to bookmark.
- Spark team discussions with industry insights that encourage private sharing.
